Emily Thompson Smith was a University of Washington graduate, and distinguished environmental journalist, editor, and author. While her UW degree was in art history, she revered the university and was excited to learn a few days before her passing that this fund was being established.
Emily Smith fellowship supports doctoral and undergraduate students who undertake research on environmental politics and actively engage with the activities of the Center for Environmental Politics. If you are interested in being considered for the fellowship, please contact Professor Aseem Prakash.
